We've designed this unit to minimize wasted space. This self-contained board storage unit can hold either 5 or 7 surfboards up to 10' (feet) in length. The surfboards sit close, but there’s plenty of room to pull your boards in and out of the rack freely, even with standard fins installed. Just as you'd expect from the racks seen in high-end surf shops or retail locations, this rack comes equipped with a secure locking-bungee system to holster the boards into the rack system. This model comes with a stylish and functional custom-fit grass pad, attached to the bottom of the rack. This dense grass is the same turf used on some of the popular spots of the PGA Tour. If it's good for golf, it will be great for your boards! In addition to looking cool, this grass base also ensures that stress points are added to the part of the glass job that holds most of the board's weight. This is particularly useful in preventing dings with boards with trouble areas, such as swallow tales, or fish-like boards that have sharper edges near the tail. These common ding areas of boards are often overlooked when storing a surfboard vertically.

These handcrafted racks are all built in California, in the USA. This model and our entire line of vertical freestanding surf racks are made with hand-selected red oak hardwood. These gorgeous wood pieces have been kiln dried, meaning you won't find any of the unsightly knots and burrs that you'll typically encounter at a local Home Depot lumberyard. This rack comes fully sanded down and ready for use, but it is not really meant for outdoor use.
